On rare occasions, short repeat markers can change. Our unique transposon marker test compares more than 50 markers per sample to resolve unusual results and provide you with the highest confidence.

Custom Process

  • Unique marker system that analyses the most variable parts of a plant's DNA.

  • Between 50 and 100 markers analysed per sample, allowing for greatest confidence.

  • Requires fresh leaf material. For winter testing we accept single node cuttings, which we incubate for 4-6 weeks to allow bud burst.

  • Samples can generally be processed in 10-15 working days, depending on number.

  • Reference material is required for comparison. It is possible to use vines from the New Zealand Wine High Health collection held at Lincoln University for this.
